This the the backyard music of Cuba and is seldom heard outside of the region. It is what you will hear when attending a family party in a small village, often improvised. One review said it was like finding, “… rough discarded demos for Buena Vista Social Club” and I’d have to agree with that sentiment. If you want to hear the real music of Cuba, look no further.
