Generationals – Alix

Generationals are back with the follow up to last year’s album Heza. On Alix, they bring us more of their catchy lo-fi pop, but this album is much more synth based than their previous work. It’s nice, feel good music but a little boring compared to their older stuff. It seems like there are too many of these synth bands these days and this does little to stand out aside from what we already know Generationals for. Still, there are quite a few enjoyable tracks; some of the standouts are “Black Lemon”, “Reading Signs” and “Welcome to the Fire”.
