Does what it says on the tin. This feels like a very welcome throwback Ani sound with soft jazz, like Not So Soft meets Knuckle Down. The lyrics all pertain to what’s happening right now in the United States, and I think we can all agree that we need Ani to keep releasing songs until we get this whole mess even remotely sorted out. Nb: she did a live version on instagram and it lifted my soul clear out of my body, gave it a brisk shake, and put it back unharmed.
