Ed Schrader’s Music Beat – Riddles [Carpark Records]

Noisy Baltimore post-punk duo continues to produce nuanced alt-rock on their first release for Carpark, while experimenting with 80s-sounding pop and complexity in their lyrics. On Riddles, the duo collaborates with close friend and electronic pop aficionado Dan Deacon to produce, arrange, and write the album. Their tunes give rise to an emotional complexity, exploring themes of loss and remembrance in a melancholy, mature nature with adept lyrics and instrumentation.
