Doom Side of the Moon- Self-Titled

Doom Side of the Moon
Doom Side of the Moon
Release date: 2017Aug04
Label: self-released
Rating: 5/5

Doom Side of the Moon, led by members of The Sword and additional musicians, is a metallized version of Pink Floyd‘s Dark Side of the Moon.  Speak to Me conjures grittiness, increasing in intensity with each note. Breathe (In The Air) is profoundly mellow to form with a bluesy twang. On The Run is thick and droning.Time is dark and grimy with thunderous drumbeats that evoke chills. The Great Gig in the Sky dazzles with a soft, layerful flow. Money is spinning golden cylinders with righteous hooks. Us and Them resembles Fluff (Black Sabbath) in the slightest way. Any Color You Like as long as it’s black. Brain Damage is full of dystopian licks set against an onerous voice. Eclipse embraces the bleak cosmos. Top 5 pick of 2017
