Husband/wife duo Tennis are back with their fourth album, Yours Conditionally, which they wrote and recorded after taking another sailing trip like the one that inspired their debut album. As one of the bands at the forefront of the “indie pop” sound of this decade’s first half, this album goes back to their roots, with a sound closer to their first two albums and less like the highly produced (but still good) pop of 2015’s Ritual in Repeat. Lyrics deal with a variety of topics including the expectations that society places on women, which are the themes of the two lead singles “My Emotions Are Blinding” and “Ladies Don’t Play Guitar”.
