Former Toy Soldiers member solo debut is a fun, fuzzy garage pop album that is really of two minds. The first half of the album is full of ripping guitars, loud ideas, and catchy beats. Taking elements from garage rock, punk, blues, early psychedelic rock, i found myself openly laughing at Gallo’s humorous perspective on certain social norms. The second half takes a much slower turn exploring the themes of lost love. Gallo’s voice lends this half an more country music sort of feel. Great album!
