Fans of Therion might be familiar with vocalist Christofer Johnsson and his newest project, the Lucifierian Light Orchestra.  I was blown away the first time I heard this and it’s taken me a while to put my thoughts to a page. “Evil Masquerade” greets with dark, stripped doom riffs and rapid tempo drums. “Where The Lillies Grow” is organic, full of melancholy licks that mingle with spell-binding vocals. “Serpent Messiah” modernizes the best traits of 70s hard rock (smokey guitars, rolling drums, bass wail).”Thunder Perfect Mind” is an intoxicating blend of  harmonic rock with sinister bass hooks and excellent vocals. I learned that this project released a full-length last year produced by Leonart Ostlund (Led Zeppelin, ABBA) at Polar Studios. If you enjoy this EP like I did, it’s worth hunting down.
