My first taste of Shovels & Rope came back in September of 2013 when I was at Grand Point North. Shovels & Rope were one of the opening bands, and their energy was absolutely incredible, so when three years later I was lucky enough to receive a copy of their new album, I was more than happy to review it, and man did it bring me back to GPN. The energy and chemistry that these two have together is undeniable, and it makes their Americana-tinged folk rock tracks absolutely fun to listen from start to finish.
