Famed North Carolinian folk-rock outfit the Avett Brothers are back with their ninth studio release True Sadness, and it’s pretty much what you would expect from an Avett Brothers release. It’s loaded with instrumentation, and blends bluegrass with folk rock to near perfection. The only thing different on this album compared to previous releases is that it is layered with a lot of synths, which I would assume is just to give it some sort of top 40 appeal. Regardless, it’s a solid release!
