In 2008, A Dead Forest Index originally began as the solo project of Adam Sherry, but by 2010, it had evolved into a collaboration with his brother Sam. After touring extensively from 2012-2014, the band is releasing it’s debut studio album “In All That Drifts From Summit Down.” The tracks on this album features richly dense vocals, and a minimal sonic palette that evokes a heaviness in the atmosphere. Adam’s hymnal approach to singing is complimented by the percussive depth that Sam adds to each track. These two work together well, and it will be interesting to see where they go in the future.
