I know every time I get a package in the WRUV mail that’s addressed from Merge Records, I know that I am always in for a treat, as they never disappoint with their album releases this year. That trend still continues on the new album “Pile” from Austin, TX based indie-rockers A Giant Dog. The lyrics on the record are equal parts brutally honest, debased, and clever, and they are delivered with such emotional intensity. Not to mention the vocals are backed by the ferocious intensity of the rest of the band. The guys at Merge never disappoint, and this album is worth a listen for sure!
