Enemy Planes – “Beta Lockdown”

On their debut album “Beta Lockdown,” Enemy Planes are proving that they are an up incoming force to be reckoned with. This album seemed to cast a spell on me, as I was taken away by their futuristic sound, which was probably aided by their use of electric lap-steel sounds on most of the album. Set on a bed of propulsive beats, a ghostly atmosphere, meandering bass, and bewitching vocals, this album leaves me reminiscent of “In Rainbows” era Radiohead (which is my personal favorite Radiohead Era). I will be excited to see where these guys go in the future:

LABEL: Rock the Cause! Records
PLAY: #1, 2, 4, 5, 10
FCC: #11
RIYL: Yeasayer, Radiohead, M83
