The compilation Star Wars Headspace is the brainchild of producer Rick Rubin. Rubin gathered fifteen different producers and artists and gave them free reign with the sounds, effects and voices from the Star Wars movie series. From Darth Vader’s breathing to laser blasts to C3-PO’s annoyed vocals and Princess Leia’s plea for Obi Wan Kenobi’s help each artist has taken these iconic sounds and mixed them into different electronic. Kaskade, GTA, Claude VonStroke and Flying Lotus are a few of the artists represented here. Bass Music, EDM, Dubstep, and Bay Area House. I have to say it’s petty f**king awesome to hear the sounds of Star Wars turned into banger electronic tracks. If you a fan of Stars Wars this is a must listen.
