Long Long Way From The Fringe is the debut EP from Sego, a duo from Los Angeles who blend a bunch of familiar genres into something unique. Each song sounds different than the last. You’ll hear the dance-punk of LCD Soundsystem or The Rapture in tracks like opener “The Fringe”, and then you’ll hear something that sounds more like The Dismemberment Plan, or slacker-rock (Pavement) or Britpop (Blur). This EP always keeps you guessing, and aside from a couple throwaway instrumental interludes, it’s a strong record and it will be exciting to hear a full-length from them in the future.
