Fantastic third album that bashes you with waves of fuzzy guitar thunder that is both textured and spacious. Great razor-wire post-punk guitar lines that mesh well with the powerful, passionate vocals. The songs shake and move rather than just keeping a beat. Protomartyr’s music is smart without wearing its intellect on its sleeve. Vocals go from bereft to nasty and snarling.
