Album starts with honky tonkin’, swingin rock n’ roll and moves gradually into more modern hipster pop and eventually into some gospel-y/soul-y tunes–it kind of runs the gamut. Male and female vocals reminiscent of Shovels & Rope. Some songs with far more modern guitar tones and vocals, all rooted, though, in their rock n’ roll core. Track 2 is damn near a modern pop-rock song, track 3 is heavily White-Stripes-influenced, and 4 sounds like TOPS.
