The opening track for Currents sounds like it could come from a video game as it transitions with each level completed leading to a new universe all within a single song. The production of Tame Impala tracks has always been a wonder of some kind with the crisp drums and recognizable bass tones that make the songs so rich in even the smallest sounds. This album continues the legacy of Tame Impala by continuing the sounds that make them the great band they are while also beginning to use different methods and further allowing the song to build up to a state of fullness.
