Fantastic Animals are a band out of Tacoma, WA who play a style of math-rock/prog-rock, a little rough sounding but loud and energetic. The first and last songs are instrumental, but are two of the EP’s stronger tracks. The three songs with vocals are nice, but seem to lack focus. They sound like they still need time to develop, but overall the EP is a promising effort, worth checking out if you like bands like …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead.
