Sounds From The Ground’s latest release is titled Alchemy. SFTG has been around for over twenty years and are considered pioneers of the Downtempo/Downtempo Dub sound. The duo wanted to retrace their steps on this album and craft something that reminds us of their past as well as giving us something to look forward to in the future. Their last album, Tribes, had a much darker streak to it and you hear that dark vibe on a couple of tracks like Tumbla but there are some upbeat almost bubbly tracks as well like Cradle. SFTG hasn’t lost their touch and are still a potent and very relevant band that is showing the youngsters in the Downtempo world how it’s done.
