Mess is an album from Liars. The music is Industrial Dance and Dance Punk. The music is raw but dance floor friendly with sharp synth beats and grinding sequencers. The lyrics sound upbeat yet have a slinky, sinister edge to them. A couple tracks have a “mellower” vibe to them but still have a strong Synth and Prog Rock sound to them. This album has more confidence than their previous work WIXIW and you can hear that confidence in the tracks. This is my kind of dance album, one that has a strong almost harsh vibe to it but also is supremely perfect for the dance floor.
