The mandolin (and string instruments) were popular in Paris during the late 1700’s. These are in the “style galant” which was an attempt for the middle classes to feel cultured like the aristocrats. Pieces by German, Italian and French composers for mandolin, baroque guitar, romantic guitar, some with soprano voice.
