Daft Punk-Random Access Memory

Daft Punk is back with an album that’s titled Random Access Memory and should be considered one of the year’s best. The group decided that to move forward they had to go back. They collaborated with some of the best on this album, Nile Rogers (who’s band Chic heavily influenced Daft Punk), Panda Bear, and Pharrell Williams are some of the heavy hitters here. They abandoned the modern techniques of creating EDM music (a laptop and some software) and went back into the studio and recorded the album with live musicians and the tracks have minimal samples. You can instantly hear the difference and the tracks themselves are lush Disco Dance that emulates the past but somehow feels modern and fresh. These guys are pros and you can hear it in the music, this is not some knock off Disco Dance trash this is the real deal!

Tracks: 2,3,4,5,7,10,11,12
