The 6th album from the Thermals’ brings a return to the energy and vibrancy of their youth, as featured on their first few LPs. This is bouncy, energetic pop-punk with substance and heart. If you’re looking for something heavy, this isn’t it. And if you’re looking for some good indie pop, this isn’t it either. It falls right in between into that very murky territory of modern “pop-punk.”
